Introduction to Welding

Students must have successfully completed the Introduction to Welding short course before enrolling in this course.

What You Learn

Build on skills of Arc Welding (Stick Electrode), Mig cutting to produce artistic welds and sculptures

What You Get

You build on existing skills to design and produce artitstic sculptures and welds to enable you to produce welded artworks.

Non Accredited Training

This course is non-accredited which means no Unit of Competency is completed, no assessment is required and no Statement of Attainment will be issued.    Students will receive a Certificate of Attendance to acknowledge their participation.

Description

Content:

This course is designed to build on basic welding skills,enabling you to complete simple artistic welded works.  Ideal for the home user, or someone wanting to start from the beginning and build their skills up to take on our more demanding welding courses or artistic pursuits and aim towards attaining employment in the industry. Over five sessions you’ll develop your practical skills, along with relevant theory and safety training.
