UEECD0007 - Apply work health and safety regulations, codes and practices in the workplace is a pre-requisite unit that is completed as part of the course.

What You Get
This program is designed for qualification tradesman from Allied Trades who has been given clearance by Energy Safe Victoria (ESV) looking to obtain Victorian Restricted Electrical Licence. It covers requirements for Disconnecting and Reconnecting Fixed Electrical Equipment. The course structure will be 7 x 8-hour face to face sessions combining theory and practical training over a maximum of 6 weeks. The course will have abreak to allow students to apply learning and prepare for assessment with the students scheduling a 1 x 1 hour practical assessment per student.
Materials to Bring
All candidates must present to the Course with:
BYO Laptop to access Energy Safe Portal - if possible
Multi Meter
Low Voltage (LV) gloves - minimum 650VAC rating compliant with AS2225 and flame resistant (generally leather) outer – as specified by ESV
Insulation Resistance (IR) tester - It must have minimum 250/500VDC scales, 2x continuity scales, true moving coil meter and no indication of PASS/FAIL – as specified by ESV

Gain a restricted ability to carry out electrical installations
The Restricted Electrical Worker’s Licence Grade 2 (previously named the Disconnect/ Reconnect Worker’s Licence) entitles you to carry out low voltage electrical installation work relating to fixed electrical equipment that is connected to your primary trade, vocation or occupation that would otherwise require the services of a registered electrical contractor, or a licensed electrician.
The Restricted Electrical Worker’s Licence entitles you to carry out electrical installation work involving disconnection and reconnection of equipment, such as:
- Electrical appliances
- Water heaters and gas appliances
- Composite equipment
- Motors
- Refrigeration and air conditioning equipment
- Instrumentation and control devices
- Electronics
- Control devices
- Hazardous Area Equipment
- Neon signs (pre-assembled)
Content:
- Prepare to disconnect electrical equipment
- OHS requirements for disconnection reconnection of electrical equipment
- Disconnect electrical equipment in accordance with Australian Standard
- Prepare to reconnect electrical equipment
- Reconnect electrical equipment
- Test the reconnected electrical equipment for safe operation

Accreditation
Enrolment and successful completion of the Restricted Electrical Workers Licence Course, will NOT automatically entitle you to a Restricted Electrical Workers Licence. Licence application is required through Energy Safe Victoria and conditions apply.
Dependent upon trade requirements, upon successful completion of this course you’ll receive credit and certification for the applicable units from those listed:
UEERL0004 Disconnect-reconnect composite appliances connected to low voltage (LV) installation wiring
UEECD0007 Apply work health and safety regulations, codes and practices in the workplace

Pre-training Review - you must complete a compulsary pre-training review before attending class.
Prior to your enrolment a pre-training review will be conducted with you to confirm that the course you are seeking to enrol into meets your individual needs. The link will be emailed to you upon your booking. Failure to complete will incur a $20 administration fee for a booking cancellation or transfer.
